About this reference
Shortcuts listed here come from AppCommandDescriptor.shortcut in the Cardmaniacs app command catalog—the authoritative source for default macOS bindings. Commands with shortcut: nil are available from the Command palette (⌘K) or Actions palette (⌘⇧A) only.
Custom rebinding may be available in the Help → Keyboard Shortcuts (⌘/) reference on macOS.

Help reference window (macOS)
Open Help → Keyboard Shortcuts (⌘/) for the in-app shortcut reference window—a curated table maintained alongside the command catalog. The command palette also lists Settings: Keyboard Shortcuts (Advanced) to jump there quickly.
Custom rebinding, when available, is configured in that reference UI—not duplicated here.
Vim-style navigation (macOS)
When card focus is active (⌃L), use single-key navigation in lists and triage grids:
List mode (Focused layout)
| Key | Action |
|---|
j | Move down |
k | Move up |
⇧J / ⇧K | Extend batch selection |
Space | Toggle selection / open focused item |
v | Enter selection mode |
Grid mode (Triage card grid)
| Key | Action |
|---|
h | Move left |
j | Move down |
k | Move up |
l | Move right |
Space | Focus current card in view (does not open reader) |
Arrow keys work in both surfaces. Cycle focus between sidebar and cards with ⌃Tab. Built-in vim bindings are always available when card focus is active—they are not a separate settings toggle.
Naming corrections
Older guides may say “Move to folder” — the catalog command is Move… (⌘⇧M).
Archive has no default shortcut; use the command or actions palette.
